Psychrometrics
Psychrometrics is a module for Ignition by Inductive Automation that adds psychrometric script and expression functions. It turns the temperature, humidity and pressure readings a plant already has into the values engineers act on: dew point, frost point, wet bulb, moisture content, enthalpy and air density. The calculations use the equations in the ASHRAE Handbook, Fundamentals (2017).

The two module files
There is one module file for each Ignition version line:
| Module file | Ignition | Module ID |
|---|---|---|
Psychrometrics-0.1.0-Ignition-8.1.modl | 8.1.33 or newer | com.nedama.ignition.psychro |
Psychrometrics-0.1.0-Ignition-8.3.modl | 8.3.3 or newer | com.nedama.ignition.psychro |
Both files are free, signed by Nedama Integrated Solutions and Maker Edition compatible. See requirements and installation.
What it adds
system.psychro, with 18 script functions, with autocomplete documentation in the Designer.- 17 expression functions, named
psychro*, in a Psychrometrics category. They work in expression tags and bindings, straight from sensor tags.
Where the functions work
| Scope | What can use the functions |
|---|---|
| Gateway | Gateway scripts, Perspective scripts and bindings, and expression tags. Perspective scripts run on the gateway |
| Vision client | Client scripts and expression bindings |
| Designer | The Script Console, bindings and autocomplete |
Where to go next
- Units and conventions: read this before the first calculation. Pressure is always an argument, in Pa, absolute.
- Examples: a quick start, a site without a barometer, and compressed air.
- Accuracy and testing: how the results were checked.
